Basil Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 1 c fresh basil, packed

  • 7¼ c water, separated

  • 1¼ c organic granulated sugar

  • ~8 lemons/ 1½ c lemon juice, 1 lemon zested

Recipe:

  1. Make simple syrup: Add lemon zest, sugar, basil, and 1¼c water to a pot. Place pot on medium heat and whisk until sugar dissolves. Let cool and for 10 min - 1 hour, then strain.

  2. Mix: Add 6 c water, lemon juice, and basil simple syrup to a pitcher. Stir and serve with ice. Garnish with lemon wheels and fresh basil.
